Software is eating the world, as Marc Andreessen has famously proclaimed – and so the future belongs to hackers, entrepreneurs and hacker-entrepreneurs!

Hence at Metasite we are proud to be supporting and sponsoring the next Hacker Games, a great weekend event that will pool eager designers, software developers, hardware engineers, UX masters, aspiring marketers and business developers into a confined space for two days and challenge them to create new killer products!

The next Hacker Games will take place on 3-5 June, 2016 in Vilnius at VGTU Creativity and Innovation Centre (LinkMenų Fabrikas) and will be organized by Enterprise Lithuania and Startup Lithuania together with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.

There will be three tracks – SOFTWARE, HARDWARE and GAME, each with its own set of mentors, tools and winners!

If you are itching to build a new carpooling app, design a new SaaS solution, build a supercool IoT gadget or through together the next addictive game – Hacker Games is the event for you. The only condition there is that you create something from scratch so you can compete for prizes!

How does it work?

  • It’s a 48 hours event so be ready to work till late at night or even overnight, the organizers promise to make sure you would be filled with coffee and have a corner for a nap if needed.
  • You come on Friday evening, pitch your idea, form teams and start developing products
  • Mentors from various professional backgrounds – including Metasite’s very own Elvinas the Digital Advisor and Irmantas the Full Stack Developer – will come to help you in the process, so do not panic if you are stuck with your product
  • You will have to prepare your final pitch and show your best in front of the Jury on Sunday afternoon, winners will get it all
