Metasite sponsors the international conference on Knowledge Economy in Vilnius

VILNIUS, LITHUANIA, October 3, 2004 – Metasite sponsors the Knowledge Economy: Luxury or Necessity of National Strategy? International Conference that will take place in Vilnius on October 7-8, 2004.

Over 300 key decision makers and experts from leading Lithuanian enterprises, the government and scientific institutions and European Commission have registered to participate in the landmark event. The conference will be opened by His Excellency Mr. Valdas Adamkus, President of the Republic of Lithuania.

National strategy on Knowledge Economy, National Innovation Strategy, financing of scientific research, business support to the scientific research and experimental development, global competitiveness and foreign direct investment into knowledge economy, Knowledge Society Governance: e-Government, e-Democracy and a number of other key topics will be addressed by the conference which has been organized by the Knowledge Economy Forum.
