VILNIUS, LITHUANIA, June 7, 2000 – An innaugural First Tuesday networking event was held yesterday in Tallinn, Estonia. Over 70 internet entrepreneurs, investors and service providers showed up at the first First Tuesday Baltic event, revealing a high interest in internet and wireless sectors.
Along with Baltic Small Equity Fund, Lohmus Haavel and Viisemann and others Metasite led the First Tuesday Baltic event organising effort. Aldas Kirvaitis, Managing Director of Metasite, said that his company contributed to the event with the goal of attracting international attention to the region. In addition, says A. Kirvaitis, the event made a point to the local industry that the Baltics are on the verge of e-business revolution.
According to Sarunas Chomentauskas, head of new product development at Metasite and the First Tuesday city leader in Vilnius, the next First Tuesday Vilnius event is planned on September 5th.
