Metasite to present the 2004 Baltic E-Banking Report findings on October 26, 2004 in Riga

Metasite will participate in the upcoming Banking and Finance in the Baltics 2004 conference in Riga, Latvia, and will be presenting the key findings from the second annual e-banking research report titled One Year After: Triumphs and Failures on the Baltic E-banking Scene 2004 on day 2 of the conference (October 26, 2004). Metasite presentation will take place in the Section 3, plenary session 1, starting at 9:30 in the morning. For more information on the conference, please visit the LBS Conferences website here.

Following the resounding success of the last year’s report, the 2004 Baltic e-banking report has been expanded to cover retail banks in all the three Baltic countries (the 2003 version covered Latvia and Lithuania only). With the introduction of additional analysis and visual charting sections, the depth of the 2004 report has also been increased.

The annual research report analyzes the strengths and weaknesses in every Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian retail bank’s internet offerings, benchmarking every individual bank against its peers and comparing the 2004 testing results with those of 2003, thus evaluating progress made during the last 12 months by every retail bank.

“The success of the 2003 report proves that Baltic retail banks take active interest in improving their e-channel offerings, recognizing rapidly growing strategic importance of online self-service and e-marketing”, commented Aldas Kirvaitis, Managing Director of Metasite. “This year we have chosen to add Estonian banks to the report; we have also expanded our coverage of Latvian banks, as some of the banks excluded from the research report in 2003 have made significant progress during the 2004.”
